Pride month - Josh Helfgott
In our lives we occasionally stumble onto someone else’s story. Someone who is an unsung hero, whose life could have easily been destroyed but instead has turned his life around and made something huge and better for others…that somebody is Josh Helfgott. Though I don’t personally know Josh, I must say I love his Chutzpah and zest for making the world a better place for everyone. To me, Josh is a hero that exemplifies what it’s like to overcome HATE even by his family, friends, and community.
When I looked at his Facebook profile, it told a story that I wanted to learn and understand the pain he has suffered along the way to becoming comfortable with himself.

I have only come out to a few people in my life and so when I see a young person being authentically themselves and being so encouraging of others, to boot, I just want to cheer and give them a big hug, to be very honest.
